Walk It Out
I’ve been waking up lately with this strange sense of dread, which is a bit unlike me. When I was much younger I carried around a lot of existential angst, but not in recent years. I’m usually easy breezy. So, what’s up?
The weather today was completely unseasonable, so I thought I’d take a little urban hike through downtown Nashville. It’s something I’ve done here and there for many years when I needed to clear my head. There’s a long history of me pacing those sidewalks until my feet hurt---ultimately ending up on the Shelby Street Walking Bridge completely spent. Something about this ritual clears my brain. And today was no different. I remembered when I first moved to this town. I was 28 years old, fresh out of college (I’m a late bloomer.
